The wings are curved on top and flat at the bottom. This shape is called an <span data-start=\"940\" data-end=\"951\">airfoil<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"954\" data-end=\"1191\"><span style=\"font-weight: normal\">When the airplane moves forward, air moves faster over the top of the wing and slower below. Faster air creates less pressure, and slower air creates more pressure.
